"Coaching at the Edge: Holding boundaries with clarity, confidence and care"
Health coaching often sits at the edge of multiple domains — medicine, mental health, behaviour change and lived experience. In real conversations, grey areas emerge: emotional disclosures, advice requests, uncertainty about referral, or subtle dependency patterns. These moments aren’t about memorising rules — they require judgement, relational skill and ethical confidence.
In this session, we’ll explore how to navigate these edges safely. We’ll look at scope clarification tools, red flags for referral and practical contracting strategies that protect both client and coach. Based in lifestyle medicine, this session strengthens your ability to coach alongside clinical care — not instead of it — with clarity, confidence and care.
Sessions are led by Dr Caroline Gibson, a qualified Coach and Coaching Supervisor.
